Circus night a big success

Congratulations to Kaa for his wonderful Circus night this week. The Joeys, Cubs and their Dads had a great time being acrobats, playing tug-o-war, learning to juggle and a thrilling rope race. Some of the other activities were an excellent stealth game : put the hat on the clown, we learned to Sing the “Circus Night Song” and the night was topped off with a great supper.

So close to moving in!

After a working bee held this past Sunday, we are only waiting on official word that we can move our section meetings into the new Scout Hall.

For the meantime, starting tonight with Joeys and Cubs, Term 3 meetings will continue to be held in the Five Dock Hall.

New Hall now at lock-up stage

The group is extremely excited to announce that our new Scout Hall has made it to the lock-up stage. This means that the internal building work is largely done, with only a few of the finishing touches to go.

Our youth members are very keen to move into the hall during third term of 2008, with the sections vying for the honour of the first shakedown meeting

Harmony Day 2008 Combined Joeys & Cubs

In celebration of Harmony Day 2008 we wil be having a combined Joeys and Cubs meeting tonight. Note the meeting time is 6:30 until 8pm.

Please wear as much orange as you can, with your Scout hat and Group Scarf the only required uniform. Mum, Dads and carers could you please bring along a plate of food for a supper towards the end of the meeting.

Sirius Cup

The Sirius Cup is the premier Scouting regatta in NSW that is enthusiastically attended and contested by our Scouts. Now in its 58th year, the Sirius Cup is help at Balmoral in Sydney with the camp strarting on Friday evening. See the Scout Leader Stephen for more details.

Slab has been poured for new Hall

The slab has been poured for the new Scout Hall - this is really something to get excited about as it means we are off the mark and finally under construction.

Good news everyone! The frame of the new scout hall is starting to be erected. Work seems to be proceeding well. We’ll endeavour to have more photos available as the construction continues.
