Group Committee meeting – full steam ahead

The new group committee met on Wednesday 2nd May and quickly got down to business.

A good turnout of 11 people helps make light work of the agenda.
Thank you to all for attending.

New initiatives are already underway with active parents contributing to PR, Fundraising, job week, website and clothing pool.
The challenges of finalising the boat ramp and fencing are in good hands with Blythe and Peter to attend a crucial group meeting to free the funds for the next stage.

With positions for office bearers already covered, Parents are invited to come along and be involved in the committee meetings, first Wednesday of each month. The more people involved , the smaller and more manageable the tasks.

After a working bee held this past Sunday, we are only waiting on official word that we can move our section meetings into the new Scout Hall.

For the meantime, starting tonight with Joeys and Cubs, Term 3 meetings will continue to be held in the Five Dock Hall.

New Hall now at lock-up stage

The group is extremely excited to announce that our new Scout Hall has made it to the lock-up stage. This means that the internal building work is largely done, with only a few of the finishing touches to go.

Our youth members are very keen to move into the hall during third term of 2008, with the sections vying for the honour of the first shakedown meeting
